Transfers to Test and Production:

When critical data changes are complete, they can be transferred into a target environment. The related DCM data type components will appear in the version validation list, just like any other modified component. It is possible to change DCM components at the same time as native and IFS components.

Changes made can be viewed at a very detailed level (down to the field) using a graphical interface that displays the old and new values.

In the ARCAD-Datachanger solution the processes of transfer to test and transfer to production are secured with a vital function: rollback. When an error occurs in one of these processes, and there is no way to analyze the cause, you can decide to stop the process and, at the same time, return to a stable previous state.

ARCAD’s rollback mechanism is based on database validation checks (commit/rollback). All actions on the components are linked with the same validation “ID.” If the user decides to roll back, the previous version of the data is automatically retrieved from the internal backup.

Deployment:

Deployment (see the ARCAD-Deliver page) of critical Data is accomplished using the same ARCAD functions that deploy all other components and is relatively easy to configure.
