Philippe MAGNE CEO And Chairman
|
|
Philippe Magne, now 45, gained an IT DUT from the University of Villeurbanne (Lyon). His career started out with 2 years as programmer in the company Cap Sogeti in Lyon. This period concluded with his departure for military service at the European Space Agency in Kourou, French Guyana. His stay was extended when the ESA gave him the opportunity to improve the quality and reliability of their Information Systems. This 3-year period was decisive in Magne’s career, as in 1989 it resulted in the launch of the “ARCAD” project, which he founded and directed in accordance with the ESA. Back in France, in Haute Savoie, Magne created the company QUADRA, later named ARCAD Software, to assure the development and the marketing of his software. Alone the first few years, he quickly attracted a highly skilled technical team. Ambitious and discerning, the team will undoubtedly follow visionary and pioneering choices of its founder. Magne also kept a foot in drumming; he likes to play funky music—a bit of rock and jazz. In a band, the drummer plays a pivotal role; listening to the other players, driving the tempo and changing the beat. Now, he melds his musical expertise into his management style
