New Freeware from ARCAD: 5250 Emulator for Eclipse

ARCAD, a software developer and automation and security expert in the IBM System i world since 1992, once again puts all of its expertise to work for you. We are offering a new free tool to help you work with System i objects from within the Eclipse framework.

The new plug-in, ARCAD 5250 Emulator for Eclipse, is totally compatible with WDSc 6 and 7 and Eclipse 3.0.x /3.2.x. 
The release of this freeware affirms our conviction that to adopt WDSc is to prepare for the future of your System i development. 

 ARCAD 5250 Emulator for Eclipse   

This plug-in allows you to start 5250 emulation sessions from within an Eclipse-based IDE.

NOTE: This plug-in does not require the installation of any software on your System i. 

Functional Description

  • Open any number of 5250 sessions on any number of machines. 
  • Customize colors, typeface, cursor shape, and more.
  • Supports 24x80 and 27x132, the code page, and system requests.
  • Parameter function for assignment of keys to keyboard functions. (V.1.0.0.5).
  • Manages copy/paste − supports the hotkeys Ctrl+C and Ctrl+V.
  • Automatic resize of the emulator when you expand or minimize the view.
  • Record macro-commands for repetitive actions.
