ARCAD Solution users can be certified through the ARCAD Expert program. The Expert title is conferred by ARCAD following an examination that proves a student has thoroughly mastered ARCAD products and related services.

The following people could benefit from certification services:

• Independent consultants,
• IT service provider employees,
• ARCAD clients.

Certification is awarded to the individual, rather than to the company as a whole. Through the certification program, ARCAD provides System i user companies with an additional quality guarantee for all their application maintenance activities.

Course Contents

This program is divided into two parts:

1 - Training
Training for consultants unfamiliar with ARCAD solutions or who have used only one of our products is provided by experienced consultants onsite at ARCAD. Training focuses on ARCAD products but also touches on associated services and best practices. The program includes a complete set of course materials based on real-life situations.

2 - Certification
The "Certified ARCAD Expert" title is awarded after a 100-question multiple-choice test. Test topics include company and product knowledge and understanding of the methodology required to implement application maintenance projects.

ARCAD Expert is based on the key elements for successful ARCAD projects:

• General information on ARCAD's software and Solutions,
• ARCAD product installation,
• ARCAD-Open Repository: Auditing, loading, reference environment,
• ARCAD-Open Repository: Macro-Maker,
• ARCAD-Skipper: Version management, distribution, software package integration,
• ARCAD-Observer: Application mapping, retro-documentation.
