Introduction

Knowledge transmission plays a key role in all projects headed by ARCAD consultants: the goal is to transfer autonomy to your team. To do this, consultants draw on their experience in meeting a range of client needs, as well as on complete training support documentation.

Objectives

Training courses led by the ARCAD team focuses on the company's widely recognized skill set: technical expertise on ARCAD Solutions and on the System i platform.
We offer education in two different areas:

• ARCAD Solutions. By pursuing this training, students become independent users of our tools, mastering both solution use and how to handle future developments,
• New System i technologies. This term covers a whole range of training courses focused on underused platform features,
• ILE programming: concepts and applications,
• The DB2/UDB database: relational model, administration,
• Java: transition from RPG to Java,
• System i and new technology: platform potential.

Areas of Application

We provide training courses in two locations:

• At our headquarters. These are standardized modules presented on ARCAD'S System i,
• In-house at your company. These training modules can be adapted to the client's configuration and meet more specific needs.

Implementation

All training modules include theoretical presentations that present terminology or lay out the technical bases of the technology, and all are enriched with practical exercises that activate these concepts. All of this information is also available for reference in the accompanying course documents.

Training sessions on ARCAD solutions cover the entire range of our Suites as well as associated tools and functions. They can be presented as part of a Solution implementation project, or later, to bring teams up to date.

Training sessions on new technologies are adapted to development projects for an application set, either as a preliminary step to a project - to get a glimpse of the possibilities available - or during implementation, to apply the steps chosen and make our depth of experience work for you.

Scheduling
Inter-company training takes places on ARCAD Software premises (in Paris or Annecy, France).
