The audit phase helps you identify:

• Multiple occurrences of the same source,
• Which objects are really used in production environments,
• Source without objects - either object losses or unnecessary source,
• Objects without source - a problem if you wish to modify a related component,
• Sources with a date later than the object - components whose executed object is not at the same level as the source,
• And, of course, unused objects.

These elements can have a negative impact on maintenance. Archiving them in other libraries frees up disk space and brings needed clarity to your production libraries.

Once the obsolete components identified, you can then perform all the different actions you may need to perform your cleanup like:

• Transferring components to an archive library,
• Making mass compile of your components,
• Deleting your components.
