How it works...
ARCAD-Observer relies upon the use of the ARCAD Open Repository. Once the product is loaded, you simply define your applications (a set of libraries for the IBM I server side, and a set of directories for the open systems), and then run the ARCAD process in order to find and record all the dependencies between components and fields down to the source line level. You can also perform an audit on your applications in order to remove your obsolete components. This can be done with the ARCAD-Audit solution.
One the repository is loaded, you can start working with the software, either thru the 5250 interface, or graphically, using our Eclipse plug-ins. You can navigate throughout the different dependencies from the highest entity (the application) down to the finest (the source line).
