For ARCAD, this spring will be notable as a period of major change in our product offering. This is true not just for the release of our version 8.10. We have other revolutionary changes to tell you about. The biggest change is the complete reorganization of our product lines.
What are the reasons for this sweeping change? Above all, due to continually adding new modules to our software suites, the suites had become too rich, too complex… and too expensive. So we have decided to focus our efforts on greater clarity and greater simplicity, while offering the ability to take advantage of our technology to even small IT organizations.
The second reason is that on those rare occasions we have lost out to a competitor, it is always because the client was faced with comparing apples and oranges with respect to differences in features – differences which were in any event insufficient to justify the difference in cost. Thanks to our new, finer product distinctions, comparisons will be more consistent and clients will be able to equip themselves over time with what their organization can absorb in terms of change.
The third reason, which is really the strongest, lies in our development strategy. This new product segmentation highlights three solutions which will soon be the three spearheads of our offering: ARCAD-Deliver, ARCAD-Transformer and ARCAD-Datachanger. |

ARCAD-Deliver, the multi-platform deployment solution is increasingly mature and since we earned "Ready for Rational" certification, Deliver officially supplements IBM’s Rational Team Concert tool. The ARCAD-Transformer solution was specially adapted to handle UNICODE problems. We will discuss this in more detail in a later newsletter. Our solution for configuration management for critical data, ARCAD-Datachanger, is by far the most innovative tool in ARCAD’s offering. We need to put the spotlight on Datachanger, given the positive results that it has already produced for our clients.
ARCAD’s offering is the most complete and extensive in our market. More and more often, this gives us a decisive competitive advantage. For you, our clients, our broad product offering is the guarantee that you will be able to make phased, integrated changes to your tooling, as your needs require, and at the pace you prefer in structuring your application change management processes.
