Hamburg, 8 December 2015 – ARCAD Software, leading vendor in Enterprise Modernization and DevOps solutions for IBM i, today announced the launch of its new subsidiary, ARCAD Software Germany GmbH.

This announcement follows the rollout of several turnkey modernization projects for IBM i customers across Europe, in which ARCAD has played the role of “modernization factory”, delivering customers a fully modernized and tested application using its own resources and solutions for application transformation, change and release management.

“With over 20 years of experience in IBM i technology and application transformation, we are able to fulfill any modernization requirement of IBM i customers, across the programs and database, from the creation of a graphical user interface through to a modularization of the application for web and mobile access”, stated Robert Schneider, the Managing Director of the new GmbH – himself a veteran of the platform, since “Silver Lake” times.

Philippe Magne, CEO of the ARCAD Software headquarters in Annecy, near Geneva, added: “With our new German branch covering D-A-CH, we now deliver our proven modernization products and services throughout Western Europe, helping our customers render reliable IBM i applications ready for the 21st Century. Our Modernization as a Service (MaaS) offering is tailored to clients for whom an in-house modernization project would be unaffordable for their traditional, or small, IT department.”

ARCAD Software (www.arcadsoftware.de) provides a range of tools that enable IBM i users and programmers to automate the modernization of their existing IBM i applications and benefit from the latest advances in the platform (e.g. SQL database, 3-tier architecture, Web services, mobile access, etc.). In addition to advanced Change Management solutions, the ARCAD offering covers application analysis and documentation tools, Release management and DevOps, and Transformer tools for converting from traditional RPGLE to Free Form RPG, and DDS to DDL (SQL).

Look out for our upcoming Webinars on the various aspects of IBM i application modernization in 2016!
